One of the most popular lessons Ava Music & Art Centre Ltd. has to offer are our voice lessons. Whether you're a budding Ella Fitzgerald or the next Pavarotti, our teachers will help you reach your full potential as a vocalist! 
The voice instructors at Ava Music & Art Centre Ltd. embrace versatility and encourage their students to explore all of the genres we offer at our school.


Classical & Opera:


Classical and opera studies in voice are arguably the most challenging voice lessons a student can take. However, they are also widely considered the most rewarding. In classical and opera classes, students will have their minds blown as they learn to use their voices in ways that they never have before. Techniques such as breathing, singing in other languages, projecting or singing without a microphone, intonation, musicality and phrasing are explored in each lesson. Students pursuing classical and opera studies in voice are encouraged to take Royal Conservatory of Music exams and to participate in local festivals and events.

Musical Theatre:


Musical theatre voice studies are extremely suitable for singers who also have an interest in both acting and singing. By exploring pieces from a variety of different Broadway musicals and motion pictures, students will learn to embrace different characters while they perform. Techniques such as breathing, belting, projecting or singing without a microphone, subtext, musicality, physicality and phrasing are large components of musical theatre-based voice lessons at Ava Music & Art Centre Ltd. Students pursuing musical theatre studies in voice are encouraged to participate in local festivals and events.

Pop:


Pop singers at Ava Music & Art Centre Ltd. get the training that some celebrities wish they had! Our instructors provide our students with the classical base they need to hit all of the riffs in their favorite Christina Perri and Ariana Grande songs. Techniques such as breathing, belting, projecting, healthy singing, memorization and stage
presence are explored in our pop lessons. 

​Jazz & Cabaret:


Jazz and cabaret style singing is a challenging, but extremely rewarding style of singing! Singers who decide to pursue a jazz-based root in their vocal studies will learn how to scat, successfully displace rhythm and bring lyrics to life. Techniques such as breathing, projecting, healthy singing, improvisation, phrasing and stage presence are explored on a weekly basis in jazz and cabaret lessons.

Royal Conservatory of Music


Ava Music & Art Centre Ltd. is pleased to offer the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Certificate Program for the voice. We cover all levels of practical and theory examinations.
