Yoel Kristian Biography

Since 2017, Yoel Kristian has been actively involved in flute teaching, initially as a
part-time endeavor during his undergraduate studies at the Vancouver Academy of
Music. Throughout his teaching career, he has mentored students ranging from
beginners to advanced levels.

In his teaching approach, Yoel places a strong emphasis on musicality and
performance, prioritizing an understanding of music theory and interpretation. He
strives to instill a deep appreciation for the artistry of flute playing in his students,
fostering their development as expressive and skilled musicians.

Following his completion of a Master's degree in Flute Performance from the
University of British Columbia, Yoel continues to dedicate himself to teaching the
flute. Presently, he is actively engaged in instructing at the Mozart School of Music
while also showcasing his piano skills through performances at various gigs across
the Vancouver area.
