Mario Silva
Mario Silva began to study music when he was 8 years old at the Music Conservatory of Butantan, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His first instruments were piano and acoustic guitar and later on he became interested in electric guitar and decide to study jazz guitar at Capilano University in Vancouver, Canada.He contributes to local musicians in Vancouver in bands such as: Brejera, Forro do Cana, Ache Brasil, Brazilian Flavours, Hot Water Ensemble and The Creole jazz band. Mario performs as singer, guitarist, mandolinist, bassist and jazz-banjo playing a variety of styles such as jazz, latin and pop. Mario is also an experience music teacher since 2002 and he is being at Ava Mucsic since 2007 helping students to learn all kind of music styles such as classical, jazz, latin, rock, blues, country and world music.
