Colombian Drummer and percussionist, Juan is currently working as a drum and percussion teacher at Ava Music & Arts Ltd. Music has always been part of his life but it was not until 2008 that he decided to make music and drumming his career. Juan, has participated in different groups and bands both in Colombia and Canada. At the moment Juan is actively participating in the Vancouver Jazz scene in different settings from trios, quartets and bigger piece-bands. He also leads his own trio called Juan & two, combining elements of Jazz and Latin music. Juan is looking forward to his future career and furthering his education in the process.
