Christian Laurian
Christian has had the pleasure of working as a professional pianist for over 17 years since he was a young child; over the years he built up an extensive performance portfolio playing at various corporate, charity and public events. He has also held his Grade 10 RCM for a number of years and is currently working on completing his Performer’s ARCT.
For the past three years he taught 18 wonderful students, which includes a range of beginner level pupils up to Grade 6 RCM. I truly believe that fostering a love for music is an invaluable endeavor, and I carry that love and passion for piano into each of my lessons with my students.
Christian also had the opportunity to perform with individuals such as William Joseph (a protégé of David Foster), The Tenors, Lennon Stella, Brett Kissel, and Sarah McLachlan. He also had the chance to have studied with some outstanding instructors that included: senior RCM examiner Peter Turner; RCM examiner Lauria D. Kerr; Professor Edwin Gnandt at Ambrose University; and Colleen Athparia, professor at Mount Royal University. Christian is also a composer for piano and voice, including the first movement for a concerto called Tears of the Heart for a full orchestra.
Besides piano, Christian is also a professional actor with over 20 credits to his name, including the lead role in the family Christmas film entitled “My Dad is Scrooge," and in Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart." Christian is currently enrolled at Capilano University, where he is studying creative writing and English literature.
