Sara is a versatile musician originally from Honduras, with extensive experience as a pianist, accompanist, educator, and arranger. She holds an undergraduate and a master’s degree in Piano Performance and studied with Dr. Lyle Indergaard and Dr. Kevin Chance. Recently, she completed a second master’s degree in Music Education and studied with Prof. Kathleen Solose. Sara has been the recipient of several awards and scholarships such as the David L. Kaplan Music Scholarship, the J. P. Allgood Endowed Scholarship, and the Music Alliance Scholarship, among others.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Sara is a passionate music educator who has taught at reputable schools such as Escuela de Musica Victoriano Lopez, Valdosta State University’s Valdosta String Project, and the University of Alabama’s Community Music School. She believes that teaching music is not only about imparting knowledge and skills, but also about fostering creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of music. Sara's teaching approach is characterized by patience, empathy, and a deep commitment to her students’ success. She encourages her students to explore their musical interests and develop their own unique voices.
