Nooshin Hedayati
Handpan, Daff, Tombak
Nooshin is a percussionist and educator specializing in Handpan, tombak and traditional Middle Eastern percussion instruments. She began her musical journey at the age of seven under the guidance of Master Dariush Es-haqi and went on to study with renowned teachers including Ahmad Mostanbat, Ahmad Azadbeigi, and Farbod Yadollahi.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Nooshin has trained countless students of all ages. Before moving to Canada, she taught at her family’s institute, Nava-ye Saba, as well as at several other respected music schools in Iran. She also holds an official teaching license from Iran’s Ministry of Culture.
As a performer, Nooshin has appeared widely on stage in Iran and abroad. She has performed along with the late Master Jalal Zolfonoun, Master Ahmad Azadbeigi, and Master Farbod Yadollahi.
In addition, she plays bendir and udu. Nooshin also has over seven years of experience teaching music to children, with specialized training from the Dayereh Zangi and Adamak Institutes in Orff Schulwerk. Her playful, rhythm-based approach makes learning music both joyful and engaging for young learners.
